When you google the definition of reading, two answers come up. The first states, "the action or skill of reading written or printed matter silently or aloud." The second states, "an interpretation." As readers, we know that there is something wonderful, even magical, about the space in between these two definitions. Something happens that makes "printed matter" something we can "interpret" and experience. That in between space is unique for each of us as it is our hearts, minds, experiences, philosophies, and perspectives that turn printed matter into so much more.
This site encompasses the Young Adult (YA) Literature that I have been reading these past few months. They are novels that will challenge, shape, and inspire you as a reader and as an individual. They represent the stories of many...and they just might represent you and a piece of your story as well. I invite you to open these books and let them open your hearts and minds as they guide you into the special place between printed matter and interpreting your world.
